Happy New year to our members, visitors, past members and new members
After asking what topics our members wanted to cover in 2018 we responded to demystifying the world of finance Natasha Chetwynd will be coming to talk to us and answer your questions on financial markets & matters. She is now retired having spent over 30 years as an investment manager, buying and selling stocks and shares, primarily in the Japanese Stock Market, as well as writing about what is going on in financial markets. Finding it difficult to break the habits of a lifetime she remains very interested in what is happening in markets and personal finance matters more generally.
Members please bring your cheque books or to rejoin for the year - NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME New visitors welcome £5 on the door
Venue: The Red Lion, 132 Stoke Newington Church Street, London N16 0JXStokey WI have a new president who we welcome: Bernadette Nolan

Make learning an adventure for local young people – possibly volunteer once per month
The Hackney Pirates
is an innovative education charity supporting young people aged 9-12 to
develop the literacy, confidence and perseverance that will help them
achieve both in school and the world beyond. In our unconventional learning
space, a pirate ship on Kingsland High Street, young people work on
reading and creative writing projects that culminate in the publication
of storybooks, CDs and websites.
We are looking for volunteers who are able to donate one afternoon a month (3.45pm to 6.45pm) to work one-to-one or in small groups with our Young Pirates.
Find out more and sign up to volunteer by
